HISTORY
Thailand’s pioneer in fiberglass insulation industry, Microfiber industries Limited (MI) is established with promotion license granted by Board of investment (Boi). MI is a joint investment company, by Thai businessmen who hold the majority shares, with foreign investors. The operation is managed by local Thai personnels.

The operation can be traced back to 1976, starting from the construction of manufacturing facilities at plant site located at Bangplee district, Samutprakarn province. The very first products rolled out from this plant in the beginning of 1978. Microfiber Industries Limited is the first manufacturer of fiberglass insulation in Thailand, serving with products dedicated to the energy conservation in this country.

During those days, MI was known as Siam Glass wool Co., Ltd. but the fiberglass insulation products were sold under the trade name "Microfiber" which was so well accepted and popular that the management decided to change the company name to Microfiber Industries Limited since December 1979.
